K-12 and college students can attend most Utah Symphony performances at a substantial discount! Also, Utah K-12 students receive a FREE ticket to a Utah Symphony performance each year.
Student tickets are available for students to attend Utah Symphony | Utah Opera performances at a more accessible price. For convenience, two student tickets can be purchased per student ID. Tickets can be purchased by calling 801-355-ARTS (2787) or in person at any ArtTix outlet. For our 2011-12 season, student tickets are $10 for Masterworks, Utah Opera, and Entertainment performances. Ticket prices increase to $15 on the day of the performance.
There are limited student tickets set aside for performances, so please buy in advance to ensure you'll have tickets to the performances you'd like to attend. Student tickets to some "blackout performances" can only be purchased by Student Design-A-Series Subscribers (see below).
Utah students in grades 4-12 receive 1 free ticket to a Masterworks performance each season. Free student vouchers are limited may not be available for every performance. Learn more at the Symphony for Students page.
How to Buy Online
Select your own seat
- Enter the promo code "student" in the promo code box on ArtTix.org
- Go to the seat map for the performance you'd like to attend and select a seat from a section where student tickets are available (Click on SELECT BEST AVAILABLE to see the sections where student tickets can be purchased).
- Click on the seat you'd like to purchase. If the student price is available for that seat a box will pop up allowing you to select the student price.
- Click SELECT next to the student price and add it to your cart. Only add two student tickets to your cart!
- Complete the checkout process
- Bring your ID to the ticket office when you pick up your tickets for the performance
Select best available
- Enter the promo code "student" in the promo code box on ArtTix.org
- Go to the performance you'd like to attend and click on SELECT BEST AVAILABLE to see the sections where student tickets are available.
- Choose the section where you'd like to purchase tickets (the student price must be available in that section for you to purchase student tickets).
- Select one or two student priced tickets. Select as many standard priced tickets as you'd like.
- Add the tickets to your cart
- Complete the checkout process
- Bring your ID to the ticket office when you pick up your tickets for the performance
NOTE: A maximum of two student tickets are allowed in an order. If you add more than two student tickets to your cart, you will get an error message. You can add as many standard priced tickets as you'd like. If you'd like to purchase student ticket to more than one performance, you will need to either purchase them in separate orders or purchase a Student Design-A-Series.

Please note: Masterworks and Entertainment Series concerts have a minimum age of 8 years old. Family performances are recommended for ages 6 and up. Lollipops concerts are recommended for all ages. All children must have a ticket, but Lollipops tickets for children 3 and under are free.
