Maureen Conroy

Associate Librarian

Maureen Conroy joined the Utah Symphony as Associate Librarian in 2010 as a long-term substitute musician; in May of 2012, she won the audition for the tenure-track position.  Maureen came to Utah after serving as an Assistant Librarian with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She has also worked as the Chamber Orchestra Librarian at the Aspen Music Festival and School and as the co-Librarian of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra.

Maureen earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Horn Performance from the University of California at Santa Barbara.  While earning her Master’s Degree in Horn Performance at the University of Michigan, she was introduced to the music library world while working for the Ensembles Library.  While completing her degree, she started working at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra as an intern and later was offered a paid position, which turned into a full-time job.

Outside the library, Maureen enjoys hiking, running and cooking with her husband, Kit Weber.  Since moving to Utah, Maureen has taken up skiing and has enjoyed exploring the slopes of Alta when she’s not face-down in the powder.
