Thierry Fischer, Conductor
James Ehnes, Violin

Liszt - Mephisto Waltz No. 1
Walton - Violin Concerto
Beethoven - Symphony No. 7

The reverse cycle continues with Beethoven's fiery tour de force, the Symphony No. 7. The concert also features Franz Liszt's first Mephisto Waltz, a programmatic depiction of "The Dance in the Village Inn." Between Liszt and Beethoven, Maestro Thierry Fischer welcomes celebrated violinist James Ehnes for a performance of the poetically expressive concerto of William Walton, a work commissioned by the legendary virtuoso Jasha Heifetz.
