One of the most entertaining activities we discovered this summer at Deer Valley Music Festival concerts was scrolling through all the social media photos that people took up on the hill – pre-show picnics, a sea of umbrellas during a rainstorm, and friends smiling and having a great time. Live music is always a personal experience that can spark joy, melancholy, introspection, and courage – sometimes all in the same concert. It’s our nature to want to share these experiences with our friends.
That’s why this opening season weekend and throughout the 2013-14 Season Utah Symphony encourages you to use the hashtag #myutahsymphony on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, and show us what your night at the Utah Symphony looks like. Whether it’s catching a musician riding next to you on Trax, a selfie in the hall before the concert starts, or the obligatory shot in front of the Chihuly, we want to see it!
To launch our new hashtag, we’re having a photo contest for the Friday and Saturday performances of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto on September 13-14. Just use the #myutahsymphony hashtag in three photos: One outside on the Abravanel Hall Plaza, one in front of the Chihuly, and one inside the hall.
We’ll pick three winners at random to win tickets to an upcoming performance! Each month we will draw a random symphony goer who tags #myutahsymphony to receive a pair of tickets for future performances in the 2013/14 season.
We look forward to seeing what your night at the Utah Symphony looks like and what Utah Symphony means to you!Tags: myutahsymphony
